EXPO REAL, the 10th International Commercial Property Exhibition, takes place from 8 to 10 October 2007 in Munich, Germany

Göteborg- a highly influential region, combining diversity and cutting-edge competence An extensive conference program offers an overview of current trends and innovations in the real-estate market. In total the fair last year attracted 1 638 exhibitors from 40 countries, which together covered the entire spectrum of the real estate sector, and about 21 000 trade visitors from 65 countries. The number of exhibitors and visitors increases every year. The Göteborg Region will be represented at the fair like previous years. Business Region Göteborg will use the fair event in Germany to market the Göteborg Region as an ideal location for investment and establishment. The German market is of particular importance to Business Region Göteborg as there are over 265 German-owned companies already in the region. The Göteborg Region has experienced 49% growth within the last 16 years and today 2 000 foreign-owned companies are established here.
Business Region Göteborg will be part of the Nordic Pavilion at the far with stand number B3.111. On October 9th, there will be an event at the stand with Scandinavian finger-food and interesting speakers. This will take place between 3.45 pm — 5 pm. Klaus Schuffler from German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce will be present to ask questions to Mattias Tscheu from German company Hochtief and Ronny Hellström and Robert Meyer from German company Hornbach. They will speak on their thoughts on upcoming growth in the Göteborg Region.
Klaus Schüffler of the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce provides some comments:
“The Swedish market is a good competitive one. Companies can test themselves in Goteborg´s market - if they can survive there then good, they got a worthwhile product or service. Logistics here are very good. Goteborg´s got a prime location, near to the continent with an exceptional infrastructure-no traffic jams like in Germany."
“Göteborg is a great market representative of Sweden, Göteborg is Sweden´s mirror. There are good organizations here and very importantly there are excellent Expat Guides."
“Germany companies are progressing well and the future for German companies here looks most promising."
“In the beginning it was only consultants and Volvo or Saab supply- related companies establishing here. Today it´s more service consumer companies such as Lidel, Hornbach, Bauhaus and the next big one Media Markt and certainly more construction firms. “
“Apart from the Automotive sector we also have many involved in Medical and technical sectors. More consumer-orientated companies are moving in here. The next development will see German companies here as sales have stagnated in Germany and unemployment remains high. Germany watches the Swedish market and more importantly Sweden's healthy economic situation."
