Centre of Finance Excellence Göteborg (FinansKompetensCentrum) is a non-profit association that was formed as a result of a study of the business environment in the region made in 1998. The study revealed a need for development of the finance sector. In 2001 a follow-up study showed improved results and verified the assumed positive effects on the business environment in the region. Business Region Göteborg AB, which is a member, holds the chair and handles project management. Vision
Göteborg shall be perceived as an important financial centre in Scandinavia. |
| Objectives
The association seeks to contribute to a joint effort between trade, industry and academy to further develop the finance competence in the region and to promote the marketing of Göteborg´s financial centre.
Aim
• Market Göteborg as a financial centre through activities regionally, nationally, and internationally
• Act as a forum for network and information exchanges
• Arrange regular seminars and meetings with prominent experts, preferably in the financial sector
• Analyze regional trends and market development in the financial sector
• Participate in policy discussions and the formulation of strategic issues in the region's financial development. |
